Start from one of 325 designs or a blank canvas. Add your photos, words, stickers and doodles in the Design Lab, see it on your exact phone from the back, front and side, and we print one case just for you.
Caseiton is an independent studio for custom phone cases. You design it, we print it, one case at a time, for your exact phone.
Every case here was designed by someone, then printed just for them.
01 · Our story
Why we started
Most phone cases come from the same handful of designs, made in their thousands and shipped to a warehouse to wait. We wanted the opposite: a case that's yours, made only when you order it.
So we built Caseiton around a simple idea. Give everyone a proper design tool, with real brushes, text, photos and layers, then show them exactly how it will look on their phone before a single drop of ink is used. When you're happy, we print that one case and send it to you.
Whether it's your dog, a holiday sunset, your name in a lovely font, or one of our 325 designs remixed into something new, the goal is the same: a case you're proud to pull out of your pocket.

Which phones do you make cases for?
59 iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models, from iPhone SE to the latest Pro Max and Galaxy S Ultra. Not every case type is made for every phone; the Lab and Shop only show the ones that are.
Where do you ship?
To the countries listed at checkout, always with tracking. Shipping is free on orders over $99.
Can I order for a team, a shop or an event?
Yes. Tell us what you have in mind on the Contact page and choose "Custom or bulk request".

Choose a case typeSnap, Tough, MagSafe Tough, Clear or MagSafe Clear, depending on your phone.
Check and orderLook at it on the case, fix anything the print check flags, then add it to your bag and check out.
How do I make my first design?
Create a free account (tap Sign in at the top, then Create account). You need one for the Design Lab and the Photo studio.
Open the Design Lab. A blank sheet shaped like the back of your phone appears with a start card: Draw, Add text, Upload a photo, Stickers, Shapes or Background.
Use the phone button at the top (it shows your phone, case type and price) to choose your phone and case type first. The camera cut-out and print area follow that choice.
Add things to your sheet. Each thing becomes a layer you can move and change later.
Switch to On case to see it on the case, then press Put on a case and Add to bag.
Not in the mood to design? Pick one from the Shop and add it to your bag in one tap.
You can browse the Shop and Community and buy ready-made designs without one. You need a free account to use the Design Lab and Photo studio, to save designs, to like and remix Community designs, and to see all your orders in one place.
If the shop allows guest checkout, you can also buy without an account and follow your order on the Track an order page.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Every page works on phones and tablets. On small screens the Design Lab's tools sit in a row above the sheet and the settings panel moves below it. The phone menus open as a sheet from the bottom of the screen. A computer or tablet with a stylus is the most comfortable for detailed drawing, and pen pressure works with a stylus.
Can I move around without a mouse?
Yes. Everything can be reached with the keyboard: Tab moves between controls, arrow keys move between phones in the phone menus and between tiles in the Collection's phone picker, Enter chooses, and Esc closes menus and dialogs. In this help center, press / to jump to the search box. The Design Lab has full keyboard shortcuts (see ).
Phones & case types
Which phones we make cases for, the five case types, the sides, MagSafe and the camera cut-out.
Snapfrom $39Slim and glossy. Your design is printed edge to edge and wraps round the sides.
Toughfrom $48Two layers for drop protection. The design wraps round the sides.
MagSafe Toughfrom $54Tough, with magnets built in for MagSafe chargers, wallets and mounts.
Clearfrom $36Crystal clear. Only the back is printed, and your phone shows through empty areas.
MagSafe Clearfrom $44Clear, with a visible MagSafe magnet ring.
Which phones do you make cases for?
59 models:
iPhone: SE / 8 / 7, X / XS, XR, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13 mini, 13, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max, 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max, 16e / 17e, 17, Air, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max.
Every phone menu on the site has a search box: type "15 Pro", "S23" or "mini" to find yours fast.
Which case type should I choose?
Want your design everywhere, including the sides? Snap (slim) or Tough (more protection).
Drop your phone a lot? Tough or MagSafe Tough.
Use MagSafe chargers or accessories? MagSafe Tough or MagSafe Clear (iPhone 14 and newer).
Love your phone's colour? Clear or MagSafe Clear. Leave parts of your design empty and the phone shows through.
Why can't I choose some case types for my phone?
Not every case type is made for every phone. For example, the Galaxy S26 series and iPhone 16e / 17e come in Tough only, the iPhone SE / 8 / 7 and X-series in Clear only, and MagSafe cases are for iPhone 14 and newer. Pick your phone and you'll only see the types we can make. In the Photo studio, types that aren't made for your phone are dashed out, and a note lists the ones that are. If you change phone and your case type isn't available, we switch to the closest one and tell you.
What are "Wraparound" and solid sides?
On Snap and Tough cases the print continues round the sides. Choose:
Wraparound (the rainbow swatch): your design carries on round the edges.
A solid colour (Blush, Pearl, Lilac, Black or Ice): the sides are that colour and your design stays on the back.
Clear cases always have clear sides, so the side choice is turned off for them.
What is the camera cut-out, and why is part of my design missing there?
Every case has an opening for the camera, and nothing is printed inside it. Its exact shape depends on your phone and case type. You'll see it:
as a dark area on every case picture;
as a pink hatched shape labelled "Camera cut-out · not printed" on your Design Lab sheet;
when you turn on Print guides in the Photo studio.
Keep faces, words and logos clear of it. The Design Lab warns you if something sits underneath (see ).
What is the dashed "safe line"?
The cyan dashed line shows the area that's always safely printed on the back. Anything past it may wrap round the side (Snap and Tough) or be trimmed off (Clear). Keep important things inside it, and let backgrounds and patterns run all the way to the edge.
How does MagSafe work with my design?
MagSafe cases have a ring of magnets inside. On MagSafe Clear the ring is visible through the case, so we show it on the case pictures and as a dotted ring on your Design Lab sheet. On MagSafe Tough the magnets are hidden inside and your design covers them.

Desk barZoom out / in · 100% · fit · case outline · paper lines · live preview (bottom right)
Paper view and On case view
Paper shows your design as a flat sheet, which is best for drawing and placing things. On case shows the sheet printed on the real case:
switch between Back, Front and Side;
pick Glossy or Matte and see the difference;
change the case type and sides right there. The case size in millimetres is shown under the picture.
Press 1 for Paper and 2 for On case. The small live preview in the corner of the Paper view updates as you work. Click it to jump to On case.
Choosing the phone and case type in the Lab
Press the phone button in the top bar (it shows a mini phone, your phone's name, the case type and price). In the panel that opens:
search or browse phones by series (use the All / iPhone / Galaxy tabs);
on the right, pick a case type: each card shows the case, price and what it's like;
press Done.
Changing phone reshapes your sheet to fit and keeps everything in place. Check the print check afterwards, because the camera cut-out moves with the phone.
The tools
VSelect & moveClick a shape, text, image or sticker to select it. Drag to move, drag the white corner handles to resize, and drag the pink handle above it to rotate. Hold Shift to keep proportions or snap angles. Arrow keys nudge by 1 px (10 px with Shift). Pink lines appear when you're centred.
HPanDrag to move around the sheet when you're zoomed in. Holding Space pans with any tool.
BBrushDraw freehand with Pen, Neon, Marker, Spray, Glitter or Calligraphy. Set size (1–240 px) and opacity, and turn on Mirror to draw both sides at once. [] change the size, and Alt-click picks up a colour. A stylus gives pressure.
EEraserRubs out parts of the selected drawing layer (2–300 px). It only erases drawings. To remove a shape or text, select it and press Delete.
KFill bucketClick an area to fill it with your main colour. Tolerance controls how similar colours must be to fill; All visible layers lets the fill see edges drawn on other layers.
GGradientDrag across the sheet to add a blend from your main colour to your second colour: Linear, Radial or Holographic. A single click makes a top-to-bottom gradient.
UShapesRectangle, Circle, Triangle, Star, Sparkle, Heart, Polygon, Bolt or Line. Drag to draw (hold Shift for perfect squares and circles). Turn on Outline only for hollow shapes.
TTextChoose a font, click the sheet and type in the panel. Then change size, weight, italic, spacing, alignment, curve, colour, holographic fill, outline and glow.
PUpload imageAdd a photo or picture from your device (JPG, PNG or WebP) as a layer. You can also drag a file straight onto the sheet.
SStickersTap a sticker to add it. Stickers are layers: move, resize, rotate and give them a glow like anything else.
IColor pickerClick anywhere on your design to make that colour your main colour.
Working with layers
Everything you add is a layer, listed in the Layers card (newest on top). For each layer you can:
select it by clicking its row;
show or hide it with the eye, and lock it so it can't be moved by accident;
rename it by double-clicking the name;
reorder it by dragging the row, or with Move up / Move down.
The buttons above the list add a new drawing layer, duplicate (Ctrl+D), move up, move down, merge down (combine with the layer below) and delete (Delete). Brushes, the eraser and the fill bucket work on drawing layers, and a new one is made for you if needed.
Changing a selected layer (text, shapes, images)
When something is selected, its settings appear in the panel:
Every layer: Opacity, Blend mode (Multiply, Screen, Overlay and more), Rotation, Arrange (bring forward / send back), Flip, Center, Lock, Hide and Glow with glow colour.
Text: the words, Font, Weight (Regular, Semibold, Bold), Italic, Size, Spacing, Curve (bend text into an arc), Left / Center / Right, Solid or Holographic fill, Color, Outline and outline colour.
Shapes: Shape type, Fill (Solid color, Holographic or No fill), Outline and thickness, Corners (rounded rectangles) and Points (stars and polygons).
Images: Fit inside, Fill the case, Center on the case, rounded Corners, and filters: Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Hue, Blur, Grayscale, Sepia and Invert, with Reset filters.
Drawings: Clear layer.
Colours and the background
The Colors card holds your main colour (used by the brush, fill, shapes and text) and your second colour (used by gradients). Click a swatch to pick, type a hex code, or use the color picker tool. Press X or the ⇄ button to swap them. Recently used colours are remembered.
The Background card sets what's behind everything: Blank, Solid, Linear, Radial or Holo, with colours, angle and ready-made presets. On Clear cases "Blank" is called Clear: the sheet shows a checkerboard and your phone will show through.
The print check (camera, edges, see-through)
The Lab compares your design with the real template for your phone and case type. When something won't print the way it looks, an orange print warning badge appears over the sheet and a Print check card opens in the panel. Each warning has Select and a one-click fix:
Camera: text, a sticker, a shape or an image is under the camera cut-out. Move it clear slides it to the nearest clear spot (shrinking it a little if needed).
Edge: something important crosses the safe line and will wrap round the side or be trimmed. Move it clear fixes this too.
See-through (Clear cases only): a layer below 100% opacity, a glow, or soft brush edges. Clear cases print every part either solid or not at all. Make it 100%, Remove glow or Make edges solid fix it.
Big backgrounds and full-size photos are never flagged. The same check appears before anything goes in your bag, with a Move it all clear button.
Saving, sharing and putting it on a case
Save (Ctrl+S) stores the design privately on your profile. Only you can see it. The status next to the name tells you when there are unsaved changes, and clicking it opens My designs.
Your work is also kept automatically on your device, so if you close the page, the Lab reopens where you left off ("Restored your last session").
Share sends the design to the store owner for approval. Add tags to help people find it. Once approved it appears in the Community. You can stop sharing at any time; it stays on your profile.
Put on a case opens a window with a picture of the real case where you confirm the phone, case type and sides, see the price, and press Add to bag. Open in Photo studio takes it there instead.
The ⋯ menu: new design, print file and more
Share: the same as the Share button (useful on small screens).
New design: starts a blank sheet. You'll be asked first if there are unsaved changes.
Download Printful print file (PNG): the exact file used to print your case, at 300 DPI.
My designs: opens your profile.
Keyboard shortcuts: the full list (or press ?).
Zoom, case outline and paper lines
The desk bar under the sheet has zoom out / in, the zoom level (click it for 100%) and fit to screen (Ctrl+0). You can also zoom with Ctrl+scroll. Case outline turns the camera cut-out, safe line and MagSafe ring on or off, and Paper lines cycles plain, grid and dots to help you line things up. Neither is ever printed.

Tips for designs that print beautifully
Let backgrounds and patterns run past every edge. Keep words and faces inside the safe line and away from the camera.
Use photos at least 1200 px on their short side, and don't stretch small pictures up.
Check On case from a few angles before you order.
On Clear cases, use solid colours (100% opacity). Soft glows and see-through layers don't print on clear plastic.
Very thin lines (under about 3 px) can disappear in print. Go a little bolder.
Photo studio
One photo or design, shown on the real case in a few taps.
UploadTap Upload a photo or drop one onto the box or the phone.
PlaceDrag the photo on the case and zoom with the slider.
ChoosePick your phone, case type and sides.
Add to bagCheck the price and add it.
What kind of photo works best?
JPG, PNG or WebP, at least 1200 px on its short side. Portrait (tall) photos fill the case best. The Print quality meter tells you how sharp it will be at your zoom: Excellent, Good, or Low — may blur. If it says Low, zoom out or use a larger photo.
Moving and zooming the photo
Drag the photo on the case to move it, scroll or use the Zoom slider to zoom (100–300%).
For precise moves, click the case and use the arrow keys (hold Shift to move further), and + / − to zoom.
Re-center puts it back in the middle. Position shows where it sits.
The photo always covers the whole back, so there are never empty gaps.
The preview buttons
Back, Front and Side: the real case on your phone from each side, in the finish you picked. The case size is shown underneath.
Position photo (after you upload a photo): a flat view of the back where you drag the photo into place. Print guides there shows the safe line, the camera cut-out and the MagSafe ring.
Using a ready-made design instead of a photo
Under Or choose a design, tap any swatch to put it on the case. The first 25 show straight away; tap +300 to see all 325. Every design is drawn at full print resolution, so it's always sharp.
Phone, case type and sides in the studio
Tap the Your phone button to open the phone menu (search, tabs and series). Under Case type, types that aren't made for your phone are dashed out, and a note lists the ones that are. Under Sides, choose Wraparound or a colour (see ). The price updates as you choose.
Downloading the print file
After uploading a photo, Download print file saves the exact PNG used to print your case, at 300 DPI and the right size for your phone and case type. You don't need it to order. It's there if you want a copy.
Shop
325 ready-made designs, on every phone we make cases for.
Phone picker (top of the page): search, or tap your phone. All phones shows a row of designs for every phone.
Jump to a phone: the button beside the mood filters opens the phone menu from anywhere on the page.
In All phones, each phone's row shows 24 designs. Use the arrows to scroll, the See all 325 designs card at the end, or Shop this phone.
On a single phone's page, designs keep loading as you scroll.
Browsing by mood
The buttons above the designs filter by mood: Scenic (sunsets, mountains, oceans, night skies), Floral & fruit, Playful (checks, stripes, dots, hearts), Minimal (marble, soft gradients, holographic) and Artsy (terrazzo, Bauhaus, shapes, swirls). The number on each button shows how many designs it has.
"Add to bag" or "Customize"?
Add to bag adds the design as it is, on that phone, in the most popular case type available (usually Snap), with wraparound sides. Customize opens it in the Photo studio so you can change the case type and sides first.
Community
Designs shared by members, plus 325 remixable designs from Caseiton Studio for every phone.
Search by name or tag (try "sunset", "daisy" or "quote"), sort by Newest or Most liked, and use the Phone button to see designs laid out for your phone. More designs load as you scroll. Designs marked Example are by Caseiton Studio. Each one is laid out to fit the phone it's shown on, avoiding that phone's camera.
Like, Remix and Apply
♥ Like a design to support its maker (you need to be signed in).
Remix opens a copy in the Design Lab with all its layers, so you can change words, colours and anything else. Save it to keep your version; the original isn't changed.
Apply puts the design straight onto a case in the Photo studio.
How do I get my design into the Community?
In the Design Lab, press Share, add a few tags and press Send for approval.
The store owner reviews it. Your account page shows "Waiting for approval".
When it's approved it appears in the Community, and you'll see a note on your account page. If it isn't approved, the owner may leave a note: make changes and send it again.
To remove it, use Stop sharing in the Lab, or Make private on your account page. It stays saved on your profile.
Your account
Signing in, your profile, your saved designs and your settings.
Tap Sign in at the top. Choose Create account and enter a username (3–20 letters, numbers, dots or underscores), your email and a password. The meter shows how strong your password is. Next time, sign in with your email and password. Tap the eye to show what you've typed.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in page, tap Forgot password?, enter your email and follow the link we send you to choose a new password. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.
My designs
Your profile has a menu on the left (along the top on phones): Overview, My designs, My orders, Edit profile and Account & security. Hover over anything to see what it does. My designs lists every design you've saved, with search, a sort menu and filters for its status: Private, Waiting for approval, In the Community or Not approved. For each design you can:
Edit it in the Lab;
Apply it to a case;
Share, Cancel request, Make private or Resubmit it;
Delete it.
Overview shows how many designs you have, likes received and designs waiting, your recent designs, a short getting-started checklist and shortcuts. Edit profile changes your display name, bio and avatar colour, with a live preview of how you'll appear.
Changing my email or password, or deleting my account
Open Account & security in the menu on your profile.
Change email: we send confirmation links to both your old and new address.
Change password: you'll need your current password.
Delete account: removes your profile, designs, Community posts and likes. Your orders are kept for the shop's records.
Bag & checkout
Reviewing your bag, discount codes, paying and what happens next.
Your bag shows each case with a preview, the phone, case type, sides and price. Add another adds a copy, Remove takes it out (with Undo if you change your mind). Below your cases, Complete your collection suggests designs made for your phone, filtered by mood; tap Add to put one in your bag. Your bag is kept on this device, so it's still there if you come back later.
Free shipping and sales
Orders whose cases add up to $99 or more (after any sale) ship free. The bar at the top of your bag shows how close you are. When the shop runs a sale, like Buy 2, get 1 free, it's applied automatically in your bag: the free cases are marked, and the saving shows in your order summary. Only one sale applies per order, and sales don't combine with discount codes; you always get whichever saves you more.
Using a discount code
Type your code in the Discount code box and press Apply. The discount shows in the summary before you pay. Some codes need a minimum order. To remove a code, press the button again. Discounts never apply to shipping.
Checking out and paying
Fill in your name, email, phone (optional) and shipping address. You can add a note for the shop.
Press Place order and pay. We prepare your print files and create the order.
The payment screen opens with your order summary. Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details. If your bank asks you to confirm the payment, follow its steps.
You'll land on your order page and get a confirmation email.
What if my payment doesn't go through?
Your order is saved either way. The payment screen tells you what went wrong (for example, a declined card or insufficient funds) so you can try another card. You can also close it and press Pay now on your order page later.
Can I buy without an account?
Usually, yes. At checkout you'll see whether guest checkout is available. After paying you land on Track an order. Keep your order number: you can look your order up any time with it and your email. On the device you ordered from, you can also message the shop and finish an unpaid order.
Orders & tracking
Following your order from the print queue to your door.
Signed in: open My orders and pick the order. A five-step tracker shows where it is, with dates and estimated delivery. Once shipped, you'll see the carrier and a tracking link.
Not signed in, or ordered as a guest: open Track an order and enter your order number (it starts with SL-) and the email you used.
A dot on the bell at the top means there's news about one of your orders.
Messaging the shop about an order
On your order's page, use the Messages box to ask a question or send a detail. Replies appear in the same thread (and by email if the shop has emails turned on). For guests, the Contact page works too: include your order number.
Receipts and my design file
On your order's page, Download receipt (or Order summary before payment) opens a printable copy, and Download my design saves each design you ordered.
What do "Cancelled" and "Refunded" mean?
Cancelled: the order was stopped before it was made. Refunded: your money has been returned. It can take a few business days to show on your statement. If you weren't expecting either, contact us.
Printing, shipping & returns
How your case is made, how long it takes and what if something's wrong.
How is my case printed?
Each case is made to order. Your design is printed in full colour onto the case at 300 DPI and sealed so it won't fade or peel. On Snap and Tough cases it's printed edge to edge and round the sides; on Clear cases only the back is printed.
Will it look exactly like the preview?
Very close. The preview uses the real template for your phone and case type. Colours can look slightly different in print than on a bright screen, and anything under the camera cut-out or past the safe line won't print as you see it. That's what the print check is for.
How long does delivery take?
Your case is made after you order, then shipped. You'll see the estimated delivery dates at checkout and on your order page, and a tracking number when it ships.
What if my case arrives damaged or wrong?
Contact us with a photo and your order number and we'll make it right.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Message us on your order's page as soon as possible. We can usually change or cancel an order before it goes into production. Once it's being printed it's made just for you, so it can't be changed.
Use the Contact page: choose a topic (an order, a custom or bulk request, a problem with a case, returns or something else), add your order number if you have one, and send. We reply by email, usually within 1–2 business days. For an order you've already placed, messaging on the order's page is fastest.
Can you make a custom or bulk order?
Yes. Send us a message with the topic Custom or bulk request and tell us the phones, quantities and what you have in mind.

Shipping
Every case is printed to order after you pay, then shipped with tracking. Shipping is . You'll see the exact shipping charge in your bag before you pay.
We ship to the countries listed at checkout. Orders outside your country may be charged import duties or taxes by your customs office; these aren't included in our prices.
Delivery times
Printing usually takes business days. Delivery then usually takes business days, depending on where you live. You'll get a message with your tracking number as soon as your case ships, and you can follow every step on your order page or on Track an order.
Returns & refunds
Because every case is made just for you, with your design and for your exact phone, we can't take back cases you've simply changed your mind about, or cases ordered for the wrong phone model. Please check your phone model and the print check in the Design Lab before you order.
If anything is wrong with your case, we'll make it right: a free replacement or a full refund, your choice.
Damaged, faulty or not what you ordered
If your case arrives damaged, has a printing fault, or isn't the phone or case type you ordered, tell us within 30 days of delivery. Open your order and send us a message with a photo, or use the Contact page. You don't need to send the case back unless we ask.
If your parcel shows as delivered but hasn't arrived, contact us and we'll help with the carrier.
Cancelling an order
You can cancel for a full refund until your case goes into production. Message us from your order page as soon as possible. Once printing has started, we can't cancel the order.
Refunds go back to the card or wallet you paid with. They usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
makes custom phone cases. This page explains what personal information we collect when you use our website, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information.
What we collect
Account details: your username, display name, email address, password (stored in a scrambled form we can't read), bio and avatar colour.
Your designs: the designs you save, including photos you upload, and whether you share them with the Community.
Orders: your name, email, phone number (if you give one), shipping address, what you ordered, notes you add and messages you send us about your order.
Payments: payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Messages: what you send us through the Contact page.
Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up.
How we use it
To make, ship and track your order, and to send you updates about it.
To run your account, save your designs and show the designs you share in the Community.
To answer your questions and handle returns or problems.
To send our newsletter if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To keep the shop safe and prevent fraud, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We only share what's needed to run the shop:
Our print partner (Printful), who prints and ships your case: your design, name and shipping address.
Stripe, to take your payment securely.
Our hosting and database provider (Supabase), where accounts, designs and orders are stored.
Our email provider, to send order emails.
Delivery companies, to deliver your parcel.
Authorities, if the law requires it.
Your device
The website saves a few things in your browser so it works smoothly: your bag, a draft of the design you're working on, whether you've seen a popup, and your sign-in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and designs until you delete them or your account. We keep order records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting (usually several years), even if you delete your account; they're then no longer linked to an account.
Your choices
Change your profile, email or password at any time in your account.
Delete any design, or delete your whole account, from your account page.
Ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, through the Contact page.
Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email.
Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights under local privacy laws. Contact us and we'll help.
These terms apply when you use the website or buy from us. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them.
Using the site
You need to give accurate details when you create an account or order, and keep your password private. Don't misuse the site, try to break it, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
Your designs
You keep ownership of the photos and artwork you upload. By ordering, you give us and our print partner permission to use your design only to make and ship your case. You confirm you have the right to use everything in your design. Please don't upload artwork, logos, characters or photos of people that you don't have permission to use. We may refuse to print designs that break someone else's rights or aren't suitable for all ages.
Sharing in the Community
When you share a design, other members can see it, like it and remix their own copy. Shared designs are checked by us before they appear, and we may decline or remove any design. You can make a design private again at any time.
Orders and prices
Prices are shown in your bag before you pay, including any sale, discount and shipping. Your order is confirmed once payment is received. Each case is printed to order for the phone and case type you choose; colours on screen can look slightly different in print. If we can't make your order, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We don't store your card details. If a payment fails, your order is saved and you can pay later from your order page.
Sales and discount codes
Sales and codes apply only while they're running and under their stated conditions. One sale applies per order, and sales don't combine with discount codes: you automatically get whichever saves you more. Codes have no cash value.
The legal bit
Our Shipping & returns policy explains what happens if something goes wrong with your order. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. We aren't responsible for delays or problems caused by events outside our control. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
A friendly, illustrated walk-through of every tool, panel and button, from your very first photo to a case in your bag. Read it top to bottom, or jump to what you need.
The Design Lab works like a small art app. Your case is the sheet in the middle, your tools are on the left, and everything you can change sits in the panel on the right. Hover a number to see what it does.

Your first design in five minutes
Here's the quickest path from an idea to a case in your bag. You need a free account to use the Lab, so your work is saved.
Check your phone. The button in the top bar shows the phone and case type the sheet is cut for. If it's not yours, click it, find your phone, pick a case type and press Done.
Add a photo. Press Upload a photo on the welcome card (or the Image tool, shortcut P), or drag a picture straight onto the sheet. Then press Fill the case in the panel so it covers every edge.
Add some words. Press T, click where you want them, and type in the panel. Pick a font, size and colour.
Look at it on the case. Press 2 or click On case and drag the case to turn it. If an orange print warning appears, read the print check and use its one-click fix.
Put it on a case. Press Put on a case, confirm the phone, case type and sides, and press Add to bag. That's it.
A new sheet starts with this welcome card. Pick any way to begin; you can mix them all later.
Choosing your phone and case type
Every case is cut for one exact phone, so the sheet, the camera cut-out and the print area all follow the phone and case type you pick.
The phone button sits in the middle of the top bar and shows the case type and price underneath.
Click the phone button, then search or browse by series using the All, iPhone and Galaxy tabs.
Pick a case type on the right. Each card shows the case, its price and what it's like. Press Done.
Changing phone reshapes the sheet and keeps everything in place. The camera cut-out moves with the phone, so glance at the print check afterwards.
Some phones don't come in every case type. If a type is missing, it isn't made for that phone yet.
Understanding the sheet
The sheet is the back of your case laid flat. Three guide lines help you place things. None of them are ever printed.
Camera cut-outSafe lineEdge (wraps round)
Camera cut-out
This area is cut out of the case for your camera. Anything placed here is cut away. Keep faces, words and logos clear of it.
Safe line (dashed)
Keep anything important inside it. Past the line, the design starts curving round the side of the case (or is trimmed on solid-sided cases).
Outer edge
Backgrounds and patterns should run right to the edge so there are no blank strips. The Lab never warns about big backgrounds or full-size photos.
Turn the guides on and off with Case outline in the desk bar. Paper lines adds a grid or dots to help you line things up.
Wraparound or solid sides?
Wraparound Your design continues round the sides of the case. Best for photos and patterns.Solid sides The back is printed and the sides are one colour you pick. Clean and classic.
You choose the sides in On case or when you press Put on a case. Clear cases have clear sides.
The 11 tools
Pick a tool from the rail on the left (or press its key). Its options appear at the top of the right-hand panel.
Brushes
Six brushes, each with its own feel. Set the Size (1–240 px) and Opacity, and turn on Mirror to draw both halves at once, which is perfect for symmetrical patterns. [ and ] change the size; a stylus gives pressure.
Brushes, the eraser and the fill bucket work on drawing layers. If the selected layer isn't one, a new drawing layer is made for you. The eraser only rubs out drawings; to remove text or a shape, select it and press Delete.
Shapes
Drag on the sheet to draw. Hold Shift for perfect squares and circles. Each shape has a fill (solid, holographic or none), an outline and thickness, rounded Corners and, for stars and polygons, Points.
Text
Press T, click the sheet where the words should go, and type in the Text box in the panel. Then make it yours:
Font: ten to choose from (below), with Regular, Semibold or Bold weight and italic.
Size, Spacing between letters, and left, centre or right alignment.
Curve bends your words into an arc, great round the camera or along an edge.
Fill: a solid colour or holographic. Add an Outline and a soft Glow in any colour.
Tip: big, bold words read best on a phone case. Very thin lines under about 3 px can disappear in print.
Photos
Press P (or Upload a photo) to add a JPG, PNG or WebP, or simply drag a file onto the sheet. Each photo is its own layer, and the panel gives you:
Fit insideThe whole photo shows, with space around it.Fill the caseCovers every edge. Best for most photos.Center + CornersCentre it, and round the corners for a polaroid look.
Fine-tune with Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Hue, Blur, Grayscale, Sepia and Invert, then Reset filters if you change your mind. For a sharp print, use photos at least 1200 px on their short side.

🗑Delete Delete key
Select a layer by clicking its row. Rename it by double-clicking the name. Reorder by dragging rows.
The eye hides a layer without deleting it; the lock stops it moving by accident.
Every layer has Opacity, Blend mode (Multiply, Screen, Overlay and 13 more), Rotation, Flip, Center, Arrange and Glow.
Colors card: your main colour (brush, fill, shapes, text) and second colour (gradients and outlines). Type a hex code, pick a swatch, or press X to swap them. Recent colours are remembered.
Background card: Blank, Solid, Linear, Radial or Holo, with presets. On Clear cases, Blank is called Clear and your phone shows through.
The print check
The Lab compares your design with the real print template for your phone and case. If something won't print the way it looks, an orange print warning badge appears above the sheet, and a Print check card opens in the panel.
This square sits under the camera cut-out, so the Lab flags it.
Camera
Something is under the camera cut-out and will be cut away.
Fix: Move it clear slides it to the nearest clear spot.
Edge
Something important crosses the safe line and will wrap round the side or be trimmed.
Fix: Move it clear.
See-through Clear cases only
A layer under 100% opacity, a glow, or soft brush edges. Clear cases print every part either solid or not at all.
Fix: Make it 100%, Remove glow or Make edges solid.
Each warning has Select to find the layer. You'll see the same check before anything goes in your bag, with a Move it all clear button.
Seeing it on the case
Press 2 or click On case to see your sheet printed on the real case for your phone, from the back, front and side.
Drag the case to turn it. Change the case type and sides from the bar underneath.
Turn it by dragging, or with the turn-around button.
On phone / Case only shows it fitted, or the empty case on its own.
Case type and sides can be changed right here; prices update.
Look from a few angles before you order, especially at the edges.
Putting it on a case and ordering
Press Put on a case in the top bar. A window opens with a picture of the real case where you:
Confirm your phone.
Pick the case type: Snap, Tough, MagSafe Tough, Clear or MagSafe Clear.
Choose the sides: wraparound or a solid colour.
Fix any last print warnings with one click.
Check the price and press Add to bag.

Using the Lab on a phone or tablet
Everything works by touch: tap to select, drag to move, pinch to zoom, and use two fingers to pan.
The tools sit in a bar along the bottom, and the options panel slides up when you need it.
On small screens, Share lives in the ⋯ menu.
A stylus such as Apple Pencil gives the brush pressure for thick-and-thin strokes.
Questions and quick fixes
My photo looks blurry on the case.
The photo is probably small. Use a picture at least 1200 px on its short side, and avoid stretching small images up. Screenshots and photos saved from messaging apps are often shrunk; use the original from your camera roll.
Part of my design is missing on the case.
It's likely under the camera cut-out or past the safe line. Open the print check and press Move it clear.
I can't erase my text or a shape.
The eraser only works on drawing layers. Select the text or shape with V and press Delete, or hide it with the eye in Layers.
The brush isn't drawing.
Check that the selected layer isn't locked or hidden, and that opacity isn't at 0%. If a text or image layer is selected, the Lab makes a new drawing layer for you as soon as you draw.
Something moves when I try to select something else.
Lock the layers you've finished with (the padlock in Layers), so clicks pass through to the one you want.
I changed phone and things moved.
The sheet reshapes to fit the new phone and keeps your layers in place, but the camera cut-out moves. Run the print check and use Move it clear if anything is now under the camera.
Why does my glow look different on a clear case?
Clear cases print every part either solid or not at all, so soft glows and see-through layers can't print. The print check offers Remove glow and Make it 100%.
I closed the page. Is my design gone?
No. The Lab keeps your work on your device and reopens where you left off. To keep it everywhere, press Save so it's stored on your profile.
Can I use a picture I found online?
Only if you own it or have permission. Please don't upload artwork, logos or characters that belong to someone else. See our Terms of service.
Can I get the print file?
Yes. In the ⋯ menu, choose Download Printful print file (PNG). It's the exact 300 DPI file used to print your case.
Ready to make yours?
Open the Lab and start with a photo, a pattern or a blank sheet. Still stuck? We're happy to help.
Every phone we make cases for, in every style we print. Each picture is the real case shape for that phone, with its own camera cut-out, buttons and edges, and your chosen design printed on it.
